So, back to the question, breed or not to breed cleft palate dogs… For us, it is a definite no; since the gene is dominate, it will have a greater chance of reappearing.

Disclosing known genetic issues in ones breeding stock is a moral and ethical must.  Bottom line is, man has created this breed and this is part of the consequences we must deal with now.

We love are little Buddy and will keep him until he decides to leave us.
